ETC Training Centre
ETC is committed to providing all people in search of skills and development with the kind of training that satisfies the needs and aspirations of individuals and organisations alike. ETC services a number of important markets:
Employers in organized commerce and industry who identify the need to train their personnel to skill levels which will give their organizations a competitive advantage, and National, provincial and local government, and skills training needs within communities.
Training courses are presented at ETC's campus in Port Elizabeth or wherever suitable facilities may exist in the Eastern Cape and further afield, including other Southern African countries. ETC also utilizes mobile training units to reach rural communities in the Eastern Cape. Training facilities are modern and relevant and include various simulating media and training aids, computer laboratories, mobile facilities, a large range of fully equipped workshops and lecture rooms, driving and operating equipment, computerized assessment tools and much more.

The substantial range of programmes offered includes training courses in fields such as management and administration, supervision, mechanical, welding and electrical, driving and operator, building and construction, electronics, catering, and many more. These training courses are continually added to or adapted in order to meet the needs of the employer, industry, SETA, individual, community or specific projects.
Other services include a Trainability Assessment Service, Selection and Placement Services, Training Package Sales, RPL Portfolio Building and Assessment, and Assessment Workshops.
The multi entry/exit points of the programmes allow persons to enter at a level commensurate with their education, experience or ability.
ETC has a strong relationship with commerce and industry in general and with many individual employers. The Centre also has contact and liaison with community-based and non-governmental organisations. Its unique partnership with the Department of Labour enables ETC to train unemployed people for employment in special projects, absorption into the labour market and self-employment opportunities.
